 B’zzz Custom Cake Handling Recommendations

For the best results when handling B’zzz Custom Cakes, please follow these recommendations:

  1. Allow the cake to come completely to room temperature before serving. This may take up to 1.5 to 2 hours depending on size and temperature of the environment.

  2. Carefully remove all packaging materials prior to serving or cutting into the cake.

  3. Know that having extra space around the cake during transit helps maintain its stability and keep it safe from any damage .

  4. Refrigerate your custom cakes overnight. If you are transporting to another party location , transport the cake completely chilled. This will keep the frosting and decorations firm for safe transport.

  5. Keep track of how long you have been transporting your custom cakes – always check regularly if they have become too warm or not cold enough while they are in transit, as extreme temperatures could negatively affect their freshness and taste quality

  6. Securely fasten lids on boxes containing custom cakes and make sure that everything is securely closed tight so no air can escape.

  7. When preparing a delivery vehicle for long journeys, make sure to place a non-skid mat underneath all items carrying your custom cakes – this prevents bumping, sliding and shifting of items inside the vehicle which can cause damage .

  8. Always handle customized cakes with care. No shaking or bumping. Keep your cake on a flat surface.

  9. Be aware of time restraints when transporting custom cakes - plan ahead and give yourself plenty of time so you don’t have to rush, which can increase the risk of accidents and mishandling .

  10. Refrain from stacking several boxes containing custom cakes on top of each other - aiming for a single layered set up instead will help keep them safe from damage due to unnecessary pressure or weight from other items .

  11. Always check the weather before transporting cakes - excessive heat or humidity can cause melted icing , drooping, sticking etc, while cold temperatures may cause condensation and moisture build-up on the surface which can ruin even a perfectly decorated cake!

  12. Maintain a constant speed during transportation – too much acceleration or braking can cause your cake to become unstable and possibly shift around inside its container

  13. Use extra caution when taking turns while transporting custom cakes as sharp turns could cause shifting of contents within the box resulting in unsightly smudges .
